That is the best way to describe the life of an independent film maker…an uphill battle. We’ve been working hard trying to make The Neighbor a reality. I have sold several items on ebay, we’ve started and indiegogo fundraising page, and we have been selling raffle tickets for an iPad 3. Even with all of that we have hardly put a dent into the budget we need to raise. I always remain positive because at the end of the day I always find a way but it’s a lot harder this time because of the budget we need. We are paying a lot of skilled/talented people to be a part of this project and we had hoped to be able to raise the money by offering something awesome in return to all that enter. However, it doesn’t seem to be working so I am taking to my blog to ask what do we need to do to motivate you to donate as little as $1 to our film? I am open to any suggestions. We believe in this project and we know that once it is completed and out there for public consumption it will help put LRWF on the map. Feel free to email me, leave a comment on the blog, or send me a message on Facebook. I want to hear from the people who read this blog and listen to the podcast. I want to know what will motivate you to donate. With that being said, I am still very hopeful that we will make The Neighbor and it will thrill and entertain audiences across the festival circuit.
Speaking of festivals…For Love of Zombies has been accepted to a huge festival and we are so excited to be a part of it. I can’t announce the name of the festival until they make their official announcement tomorrow but believe me when I tell you this a big deal and a huge opportunity. We have been getting a ton of positive feedback on the FLoZ DVD. Orders are sluggish but those who have ordered have been very pleased which is what I like to hear. I understand how hard it is in today’s economy so when anyone plunks down their hard earned money for one of our DVD’s I want them to feel as if they haven’t wasted their money. So far, no one has complained and everyone has raved. So, if you would like to order the zombie movie that Zombie Zone News calls “a must have in zombie movie collection.” Click here —>FLOZ
Also, if you’d like a chance to win an iPad 3, all you have to do is donate as little as $1 to our Indie GoGo campaign. Every dollar raised goes towards The Neighbor, the majority of the money going to paying people for their time, talent, and creativity. LRWF is trying to put talented people to work, help us make that happen. If you would like to donate as little as $1 to our campaign click here —>DONATE
