This is a refreshing Horror/Comedy done quite well. This movie brings a new meaning to the term “Misunderstanding” When Dale and Tucker two Hillbillies are trying to vacation in their newly bought vacation home fixer’ upper’. It starts out with a group of college kids (overdoing it a bit visually on making sure you, the viewer know their “college preppy kids”) start assuming the worst when they see The 2 “Hillbillies” for the first time. While the kids are skinny dipping at night one of their friends Allison falls off a rock and knocks herself unconscious Dale and Tucker just happened to be doing a little night fishing and save the girl from drowning. While trying to wave down Allison’s friends they immediately see it as a kidnapping and run away. This starts a riot of comedy and one bloody mess as the friends try to “save” their friend from the Hillbillies who in truth wouldn’t hurt a fly and are trying to nurse her back to good heath. Without giving anything away the body count and blood toll rise quickly from here. Plenty graphic for the horror fan, and plenty funny for the comedy fan. Picture an old Warner Brothers cartoon with slapstick comedy like the three stooges where someones walking around with a long shovel on their shoulder, someone calls their name, they turn and whack the person standing next to them by accident… that’s all i can right now. They tried to throw in a character twist to tie in with the story at the end but didn’t really work in my opinion because they didn’t focus on it enough and it wasn’t really a character you cared about. The Movie would still be great with or without the twist. They really did a great casting job for this film and you will definitly enjoy it if your fans of films like Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland.
This film is available on some cable networks via VOD and will officially be released on DVD and Blu-ray on November 29th. I highly recommend this film
