It has been nice to read the comments and reaction For Love of Zombies has received since we released it free to the public on this blog and on YouTube.  While I enjoy the emails I would prefer if you left a comment so everyone can read your opinion.  I post all comments, positive and negative.  We really worked hard on For Love of Zombies and we want as many people as possible to see the movie.  I realize not everyone is going to love it but at the same time I want people to take in to consideration how hard it is to complete an independent movie even one that is only 17 minutes long.  I have learned so much from all the short movies I have worked on since I debuted my first movie making effort, Sorrow Hill.  Sorrow Hill was a huge undertaking, one I should have never done as my first project.  But the things I learned from it are more valuable than anything I could learn in a film school.  I guess what I am trying to say is that I am getting better as a movie maker.  It is starting to show in my latest work, The Playground.

The Playground is easily the best “looking” product LRWF has produced.  There are several things that I need to continue to approve upon but I finally feel as if my abilities and equipment are starting to catch up to my vision.  This is why I am so excited about our current project a web series titled VIOLET.  I have a lot of incredible people on board working on the crew.  People who are going to make this our most successful project.  The scripts are completed for the first two episodes and I have the entire first season outlined.  It is the most fun I have had writing since For Love of Zombies.  I can not wait to start sharing more information about Violet.  I believe that if I can capture on camera what I envision in my head and what I have written on paper I will have something very special on my hands.

Well, unfortunately there isn’t a future.  The Random Ass Podcast is dead.  However, Little Red Wagon Radio is going to launch after the first of the year and it is going to bring you the very best in independent film talk.  I will host a one hour show that will highlight all the great things happening in independent film.  I have a ton of great guests lined up and if you are a film maker, writer, or even someone who is interested in jumping in to the wonderful world of independent film making this show is for you.  I am going to make this show one that film makers can look to for sound advice, tutorials, and tips on how to run a low budget film company.

We will be holding auditions for Violet.  We need to fill a lot of roles.  Experience levels range from Very Experienced to Novice so if you ever wanted to give acting a shot or if you are an experienced actor looking to be a part of an exciting new project email and we will be in touch.

As always thanks for reading and if you haven’t done so watch For Love of Zombies and be sure to leave a comment.

Tonight is the night!  For Love of Zombies makes it’s online debut.  I am very excited to show off this movie.  It was the most fun I ever had filming.  There were a lot of hurdles and headaches but at the end of the day it was all worth it.  I hope a lot of people log in at 9PM to watch.  I am excited to hear the reaction.  It has garnered a lot of positive reviews from the numerous festivals it has played.  The movie has also had it’s fair share of negative reviews, which are always welcomed as well.  As a movie maker it’s important to listen to all feed back so going forward you can continue to grow.  My one goal is to be better each time I set out to work on a project.  For Love of Zombies is just one part of my development.  I hope you enjoy For Love of Zombies.

We have been very busy at Little Red Wagon Films.  This week we signed an agreement to bring the NJ HORRORFEST back to the beautiful Landis Theater in Vineland, NJ.  This years festival will be held Friday Oct 25th and Saturday Oct 26th.  We will have a vendors room this year, a screenplay competition, and we are working very hard to bring some great guests.  Keep checking the blog and the NJ HORRORFEST web site for announcements.  Submissions will be open January 1st.

We are very excited that our short film, the festival hit, For Love of Zombies will be making it’s online premiere this Sunday December 9th at 9PM.  It will be premiere on youtube, CLICK HERE to watch.  We may also post the video on this blog.  We will decide in the next couple of days.  Either way we hope you take the time to watch our little 17 minute movie that took the festival scene by storm.  We are hoping we can begin to build an audience through our short films so when we debut our next big project people will be excited about it.

The next big project is our web series title Violet.  This project has been a lot of fun to work on thus far.  We have only done some preliminary filming and we are having a huge casting call in a few weeks but this project has really gotten everyone involved excited.  I have written the first two episodes and I am working feverishly on the others.  I love this project because it is quite different then anything we have ever attempted.  I am not ready to give too much away but we hope to debut a teaser trailer and website by the new year.  We are assembling an amazing crew to film the first episode.  We are putting a lot of resources and calling in a lot of favors to make this look amazing.  The few people who have had the opportunity to read the first two episodes are anxious to see what we do, I do not plan on disappointing.  We have been posting pics and updates on our Little Red Wagon Films Facebook Page.  So if you haven’t liked the page you should, we will be debuting a lot of Violet information on that page.
